Siiiiiiiiiiiick ...

I don't handle illness well. I find it proof that my body is capable of failure (and it seems like foreshadowing of the big, imminent "FAIL").

That said, this week's sinus infection was made infinitely more bearable by my recent acquisition of a "beddesk." It was a gift (yes, from MD, who I've found gives the strangest of gifts ... from the bikini-printed apron from Miami and the Blondie-printed bags and t-shirts, to the latest, the aforementioned beddesk). And while the beddesk may not be for everyone (it's not, some people who shall remain unnamed would use it for nothing more than a fancy doorstop), it is great for a bed-ridden sicky like myself.

Note the way my cough drops, tea cup, water bottle and hand cream fit so neatly around my laptop. With just the right amount of pillows, it's perfect height for watching that missed episode of LOST or catching up on this season's Office (which is what I did yesterday).

Ah, yes ... I heart my beddesk.

the only thing better than a good beddesk is being able to watch LOST on it whenever you want, for as many episodes as you want. it's all about the simple things, really.

hope you feel better.

You know, sheets that aren't hospital white, shams that aren't military brown would make that "bed desk" look more attractive. As someone who works from home -- color, threadcount and texture of sheets matter. Woman, get thee to a Marshall!
